Description
Mayo Clinic is recruiting a full-time Photon Faculty Medical Physicist for its Division of Medical Physics in Rochester, Minnesota. This on-site faculty position combines photon therapy clinical practice with research, education, and departmental service.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coverage and quality assurance for photon radiation therapy procedures.
- Participate in clinical projects and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Contribute to educational activities within the department.
- Lead research projects and publish peer-reviewed work.
- Submit a research proposal of fewer than 1,000 words describing research interests, qualifications, funding potential, and opportunities for departmental collaboration.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. and board certification are listed as the minimum qualifications. Mayo Clinic will also consider board-eligible Ph.D. graduates of a CAMPEP-accredited residency who have experience with MR-Linacs and MR-based online adaptive radiation therapy.
Candidates should demonstrate academic and clinical excellence, research productivity, collaboration, leadership, and commitment to education. Experience leading groups or projects is highly desirable. Preference will be given to applicants whose background supports MR-Linac development, including MR-based online adaptive treatment planning, delivery, quality assurance, and program management.
Compensation and Benefits
The stated full-time base salary range is $136,643 to $280,250. Individual compensation may vary based on specialty, experience, duties, FTE, internal equity, and market data.
