Description

UCHealth is seeking a full-time Medical Physicist for Radiation Oncology in Fort Collins, Colorado. The position is based at UCHealth’s Harmony Campus and is explicitly designated as onsite, with no hybrid or remote option. The role supports safe and effective radiation therapy through treatment planning, equipment quality assurance, patient-specific verification, and clinical procedure oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, maintenance, quality assurance, and troubleshooting of radiation therapy treatment equipment.
  • Conduct patient-specific quality assurance and verify that treatment devices operate within established clinical parameters.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists in treatment-plan development, review, and approval.
  • Verify dosimetric calculations and compliance with clinical treatment protocols.
  • Provide physics support for specialized procedures including SRS, SBRT, and brachytherapy.
  • Participate in clinical projects, quality improvement, process improvement, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Medical Physics, Physics, Radiation Biology, or a related field is required.
  • Successful completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency program is required before the start date.
  • Candidates may be ABR certified or board eligible. Board certification or qualifying medical physicist status must be completed within two years.
